Please pray for your Side By Side Executive Team! 💗

We’ll be gathering in Tampa, FL, October 1–4, and we’re so expectant for what the Lord has in store. We have big dreams for this beautiful ministry He has entrusted us to steward—and we want to be faithful to His leading every step of the way.

We’ll spend these days praying together in person, listening for the Lord’s direction, and doing some recon for what’s ahead. 🙏🏼

Thank you, Bekah Baglio, for sharing your wisdom with us! ❤️ One of the beautiful ways we love our spouse is through the way we communicate. Our words have the power to build up, bring peace, and reflect the unconditional love of Christ.

Our hearts love a LOT of things. ❤️

Our husbands.
Our kids.
Our homes.
Our friendships.
Our work.
Our ministries.
Our plans.
Our dreams.

And when you’re married to a healer, it can be especially easy for your husband’s work, schedule, needs, and the needs of your family to take up a LOT of space in your heart and mind.

But this quote from James K. A. Smith has been making me think:

“We will find ‘rest’ when our loves are rightly ordered to this ultimate end.”

What if rest isn’t just about having fewer things on our calendars?

What if part of finding rest is allowing Jesus to take His rightful place at the center of all the things we love?

We can love our husbands deeply - without making them our ultimate source of joy.

We can love our children fiercely - without making their success our ultimate purpose.

We can care deeply about our homes, our work, our ministries, and the people God has entrusted to us - without carrying them as though everything depends on us.

Because it doesn’t.

Jesus is our ultimate end.
And when our loves are ordered around Him, we can hold the other things with open hands.

Maybe that’s where some of our rest is found.

Not in loving less. But in loving rightly.🤍

So today, let’s ask ourselves: What has been taking up the “ultimate” place in my heart lately?

And then let’s gently bring it back to Jesus.

He is worthy of first place—and our weary hearts were always meant to find their rest in Him.

October 23–25 at beautiful Sandy Cove Conference Center! 🌊

This year’s theme, Faith & Healthcare Connected, is all about exploring how our faith shapes the way we live, serve, and practice healthcare. Expect prayer, worship, teaching, encouragement, and sweet fellowship with other Christian healthcare professionals. 🙏🏼

And we’re especially excited that Side By Side will be there! Our Northeast Regional Director, Julie Fernandez, will be sharing about SBS Friday evening and connecting with women throughout the weekend. Look for the pink shirts! 💕
