The Lodge 52 Benevolent Fund is asking for assistance with helping one of our members who is in need.
Hope Guest has consistently been someone others can rely on. In her role as the Loveland Police Department Property Crimes Investigative Technician, she is always ready to assist officers, detectives, and numerous neighboring agencies. She dedicates much of her time to supporting complex regional retail organized crime and auto theft investigations, demonstrating both expertise and commitment. In addition to her investigative work, Hope serves an essential role on the Peer Support Team, providing critical support to her colleagues when they need it most.
Now it’s our turn to be there for her. Hope’s health journey began in 2018, when she was diagnosed with a brain tumor. What followed were multiple surgeries, countless treatments, and more medical appointments than anyone could reasonably count—many requiring travel to Anschutz in Denver, adding significant expenses along the way. During this already difficult time, she was also supporting her father through his lymphoma diagnosis—thankfully now in remission—and managing the ongoing health needs of her daughter.
In November 2024, while still battling the effects of the brain tumor, Hope received another devastating diagnosis: stage 4 metastasizing carcinoma, adding additional medical appointments, treatments, and much uncertainty. Despite the challenges, she has continued to fight with incredible strength. She has continued working full time, maintained an active presence on the peer support team, and remained a steady source of support for her friends, family, and coworkers. Hope is the kind of person who shows up for others, no matter what she’s going through.
Last week, her furnace went out and now needs to be replaced—an unexpected and costly burden at a time when she is already facing so much.
Many people have asked for a tangible way to show how much they care about Hope. This is that opportunity. She is someone who rarely asks for help, but now is the time for us to step up and support her the way she has supported so many of us.
Any contribution, big or small, will make a meaningful difference and help ease the financial stress she is facing.
