Ravioli came to us as a stray in September. The information on his microchip was not current and despite papering the area with found signs
his current owner was never located. From the very beginning, it was clear he had once been deeply loved—he was well-mannered, socialized, and carried himself with a gentle, easy charm that made everyone instantly love him.
Before his neuter, bloodwork revealed that Ravioli was in kidney failure. Despite this, the rescue and his foster mom made a shared commitment: as long as his quality of life remained good, he would be surrounded by comfort, care, and love for the rest of his days. And he truly had all that and more for almost 9 months.
Ravioli had the kind of personality you wish every dog could have. His foster mom often told him he was her sweet prince as he was always the best behaved one in the house. He was sweet, always happy, and endlessly affectionate. He adored people, but he had a special place in his heart for children—especially his foster mom’s young niece, who quickly became one of his favorite companions.
He found joy in the simple things: neighborhood walks, time spent hanging out in the backyard, and cozy naps. He had the sweetest little quirks too—happy grunts that made everyone laugh and somehow made him even more endearing.
Ravioli may not have had a long time in this world, but the impact he made was lasting. He reminded everyone who met him what unconditional love looks like, and he left this world knowing he was safe, cherished, and deeply loved.
He was, and always will be, the kind of dog you never forget. We are grateful there are people like his foster mom who are willing to have their heart broken so dogs like Ravioli can know love and happiness however long they can.
Run free our sweet adorable prince 🐾❤️
