BIAK Brain Ball The BIAK Brain Walk raises awareness of Brain Injuries and Brain Tumors. It helps us continue our outreach efforts across the Commonwealth!

Thank you for your support of the Brain Injury Alliance of Kentucky Brain Ball. The Ball funds BIAK’s work and is our most popular event of the year. It provides a large share of the funds needed to support the Alliance’s mission. The Alliance provides advocacy, outreach, education and prevention on behalf of individuals affected by any acquired brain injury. Honored guests will include veterans o

f the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars whose lives have been affected by brain injury. These brave warriors are served by BIAK’s Military TBI program. Tables are donated so that they may join us for this sparkling event. The 2015 Brain Ball will feature the 13th annual presentation of the prestigious Mary Varga Award, presented to a brain injury survivor who exemplifies courage and perseverance. Join the Brain Injury Alliance of Kentucky for our Annual Meeting on Wednesday, September 16th from 4:30–6:30 PM at PriceWeber, 10701 Shelbyville Rd., Louisville, KY.

This special evening will include a guest speaker, presentation of our Star Awards, organizational updates, and an opportunity to connect with members of the brain injury community.

Our guest speaker will be Kristina Brooks, Art Therapist with Compass Counseling and Psychology Services. Kristina will discuss how art is incorporated into the therapeutic process and will lead participants through a small hands-on art activity. All supplies will be provided.
