The Miracle Dancer Scholarship Foundation is a 501c3 Nonprofit Organization. Our mission is “To provide children and adults with physical and cognitive disabilities, opportunities to dance regardless of their abilities or financial situation.”. These Scholarships help pay for fees and classes such as jazz, lyrical, ballet, clogging, musical theater and vocal. The Miracle Dancers were formed in 1992 by Diane Chambers, owner of Diane Moore Dance Academy and as of today the group has grown to around 40 dancers. Over the years this group has performed for the Jefferson County Public Schools “Back to School Kickoff”, the National Spina Bifida Conference, for Governor Ernie Fletcher’s KY Employee Charitable Campaign, the Mrs. Wheelchair KY Pageant, The Spina Bifida Walk N Roll, The Southeast Christian Church Shine Fall Fest, on various stages at the Ky State Fair, and for residents of different senior living communities in Louisville. The Miracle Dancers are most known for their annual performance on The WHAS Crusade for Children telecast.
“My favorite part about being a miracle dancer is getting to see my friends every week in class and perform on stage.”
-Ja’Miere Gardner, Mini Miracle Dancer
