The LouSem Hope Cafe is a community-centered space that provides meals, hospitality, and connection on campus. It directly supports The Hope Buss by extending our mission of community, care and culture into a new setting that fosters both impact and sustainability.
Our founder, Stachelle Bussey is an alumni of Louisville Seminary, and where she recieved the validation and call for greater work in community. Opening the Cafe in 2024 was a full-circle moment, understanding that food insecurity and scarcity is all over and meeting that need is essential in every zip code.
In the words of Rev. Bussey, “at the table is where we build community, in our homes and in our world. In a time that promotes division, let’s keep finding ways to gather.”
