The Louisville CEDAW Coalition is made up of local attorneys, political operatives, religious leaders, scholars, students and non-profits who are working to implement in Louisville Metro the global principles of women's human rights as outlined in CEDAW (Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women). As part of the national Cities for CEDAW Campaign launched at the 58

th UN Commission on the Status of Women in March 2014, the Louisville CEDAW Coalition aims to become a CEDAW city to improve the lives of girls and women in the areas of equal pay, violence and health care.
