💧 URGENT NEED: We are completely out of bottled water.

The recent heat has taken a toll on our supplies, and we have now completely exhausted our bottled water.

Each week, our outreach teams distribute 15–20 forty-packs of water to our friends experiencing homelessness throughout Louisville. Staying hydrated is one of the most basic needs we can help meet, especially when temperatures climb.

If you’re able to help, donations of bottled water can be dropped off:

📍 Beargrass Christian Church
4100 Shelbyville Road
🕜 Sundays ONLY, 1:30–3:30 PM

A single case helps. A few cases help even more. With the amount we distribute every week, we are grateful for every donation that helps us keep cold water in the hands of the people who need it.

Thank you for continuing to show up for our community. ❤️

🍂 The weather may be cooling down, but we’re not quite done with warm-weather clothing yet!

We’re still seeing a need for several warm-weather clothing items for our friends, and we could use our community’s help keeping these essentials stocked.

We can accept gently used, clean clothing from our current needs list, with one exception: underwear must be new and in its original packaging.

📍 Donations can be dropped off to us at Beargrass Christian Church, 4100 Shelbyville Road, on Sundays from 1:30–3:30 PM.

As always, thank you for helping us make sure our friends have what they need. Your continued support makes this work possible. ❤️

🚨 URGENT NEED TODAY! One of the families we’re supporting through the Day 1 Families Fund asked us this morning if we could help with a crockpot, air fryer, or a basic set of pots, pans, and cooking utensils. Through D1FF, LOU provides emergency hotel stays for families experiencing homelessness while they wait for emergency family shelter or another safe option. Having a hotel room provides safety, but being able to cook gives families independence, stretches limited food dollars, and lets parents prepare real meals for their children instead of relying on takeout or ready-to-eat food. ❤️ If you can help us meet this need TODAY, please drop off donations to us at Beargrass Christian Church between 1:30 and 3:30 PM today!

300 lunches. One hour. A whole lot of care. ❤️

📍 Fellowship Hall
🗓️ Sunday, September 20
⏰ 10–11 AM
🥪 All supplies provided — just bring your helping hands!

This Sunday, Watkins is partnering with Louisville Outreach for the Unsheltered (LOU) to prepare 300 sack lunches for our neighbors experiencing homelessness.

LOU works alongside people experiencing homelessness in Louisville, helping provide practical support and connection to resources. We’re grateful for the opportunity to come alongside that work.

Why it matters:
A meal is more than food. It’s a reminder that someone sees you, cares about you, and believes you’re worth showing up for.

Come help us pack!

Bring a friend, bring your family, and let’s see what 300 lunches can do.
