It’s Malnutrition Awareness Week! This week highlights malnutrition as a public health issue that raises healthcare costs and leads to poor health outcomes. Registered Dietitians play a crucial role in the prevention and management of malnutrition.

Dr. Eli Pendleton is a family physician with Baptist Health Medical Group and practices at the Deer Park Clinic in the Highlands. He took an interest in q***r and transgender health early in his career and it remains a focus in his practice. He is from Oregon (more or less) and went to medical school at University of Kentucky, followed by residency at University of Virginia. Following his residency training he did an academic development fellowship focused on Evidence Based Medicine and Information Mastery, also at UVa. He worked at University of Louisville for 9 years prior to joining Baptist and was Associate Program Director for the UofL Family Medicine Residency.
