A seat at the kitchen table can be a classroom, too.

UofL medical students joined an oncologist, surgeon, scientist and registered dieticians in the Trager Institute Culinary Medicine Teaching Kitchen to explore the role of nutrition in cancer care, and how food can provide connection, comfort and a sense of normalcy.

The experience, made possible in part through the Gibbs Foundation’s support of pancreatic cancer research and education, is helping prepare future physicians to care for the whole patient.
