As classrooms begin filling across Kentuckiana this week, many families are checking school supply lists and preparing for a new year.

For the children who arrive at The Center, back-to-school often looks very different.

More than half of the clients staying in our emergency shelter are children who came with a parent seeking safety from domestic violence. Many arrive with few belongings, but every child deserves the chance to begin the school year with confidence, stability and hope.

Your support helps provide school supplies, tutoring, trauma-informed care and stable housing so children can focus on learning and healing.

Whether you choose to make a one-time gift or become a monthly donor, your generosity helps create brighter futures.
