Have you spotted our flock of birds out around town?

Keep an eye out for our Season Finale concert posters, and if you see one, take a pic and let us know where! Use and be sure to tag so we can share it! And then, don't miss our UofL concert on May 13 and our Springdale concert on May 16!

Today's sighting was at Climb NuLu! Not only an amazing place to climb, get a great workout, and have fun with friends, but it's also the location of LCO advertiser, Jackson Browning, LMT! You might have seen Jackson's ads in our concert programs this season, or even in the audience at some of our concerts. We are so grateful for his support.

If you know a generous business that you think should be advertising in our programs, it's not too late to make it into our Season Finale program, and it's not too early to set them up for the 26-27 season! Or, if you see one of our posters hanging in a local business, ask them if they're a concert sponsor or would like to be!

Our Birds of a Feather flock already includes the magpie, the lark, the eagle, the phoenix, the mockingbird, and the swan. Let's add one more bird to that flock: the cardinal!

In case you haven't heard, we will be presenting our usual Wednesday night performance of our Signature series at the University of Louisville School of Music's Margaret Comstock Concert Hall! We want to fill the hall as much as possible for our first performance in this space, so please get the word out!

Our season finale is about to take flight! Join us for two performances this May that will have you soaring through the clouds. ⛅️🕊️

On the bill for this concert is orchestral music representing opera, ballet, movies, and literature, all themed to our fine feathered friends. The graceful swan, the thieving magpie, the singing lark, the chatty mockingbird, the fiery phoenix and the invincible eagle are all here in works by Rossini, Vaughan Williams, Sousa, John Williams, Elmer Bernstein, and Tchaikovsky!

Plus, we are thrilled to feature LCO Concertmaster, Olivia Kristiansen, as our soloist on one of the orchestral repertoire’s greatest violin solos!

As we wind down March and International Women's History Month, our Music Director Adam W. Thomas shares some of the female conductors that have inspired him through the years, including Lois U Wiggins, Amy Darbyshire Acklin, Kimcherie Lloyd, Joann Falletta, and Kalena Bovell. He sends his gratitude to each of you!

Adam's was purchased in support of the Taki Alsop Conducting Fellowship for women conductors, part of an amazing initative from the renowned conductor Marin Alsop. The Louisville Civic Orchestra is proud of women conductors everywhere!
