This is Rocky, the dog of our Executive Director. He was posing for a cute picture, but he heard how generous our community was on Thursday, and it was so exciting that he perked up and he started barking.

We applaud and share Rocky's excitement. We're so glad our community supports us and has provided a big boost to the start of our season. Rocky says "ruff ruff" (Translated:THANK YOU!)

Concerts don't really happen if we don't have places to perform. We are extremely grateful for our community partners that provide space to hold our rehearsals and concerts. Springdale Presbyterian and Bellarmine University have been incredible hosts, and it's been fun to begin working with UofL School of Music recently.

We are excited, too, that our reach will expand even more this year for our final concert. While we aren't quite ready to tell you where we will be, rest assured that your donations will help us get there.

The musicians of the Louisville Civic Orchestra are simply amazing. They are your neighbors, your co-workers, your family and friends. This is what makes LCO great - each musician is fully integrated into the professional and social fabric that makes this city thrive. In supporting this ensemble, you support the many strong connections our musicians have with each other and in turn what the musicians have with you.

We cannot do concerts without you. Composer Milton Babbitt once wrote a magazine article called "Who Cares if You Listen?". Even though this wasn't the original title, and was written in the context of non-populist contemporary music (which is sometimes called "inaccessible"), we certainly care that you listen to us as an audience member - it's a real treat for us to share music with you and we hope to see you at our upcoming concerts.
