We raise money as a branch for the Muscular Dystrophy Association for events like this. Missy Harris represented Branch 14 at the MDA summer camp. It takes nearly three thousand dollars to send a kid to the camp which is built for children with disabilities

We are always thankful for everyone who supports our efforts for a great charity.

Congratulations to Travis Reese on his conversion to full time regular! Travis currently works out of the Downtown Carrier Unit.

Your best day as a carrier is retirement, your second best day is when you make regular.

Due to the construction of Interstate 65 from downtown to the Watterson Expressway in Louisville. Folks have been trying to find different routes. In the past three days, at least eleven trucks have found “the can opener” by the University of Louisville.

This is not unlike conversations we have our newer members of management. No matter how you suggest the right path, they are insistent on running head long into danger. If someone from the union suggests the easy way out, it’s probably best for both sides. Otherwise you might have to be removed from a terrible mistake.

This is George Payne, Sr. He retired from the post office in 2014 after nearly three decades of service.

George is one the nicest dudes you would ever meet. He is also a very funny fella. He is a proud father and grandpa. He still comes to union meetings and events and we are lucky to have him as member.

George is one of two members who are deaf/hard of hearing in our branch.

We appreciate George for his dedication to this great union.

This is our cat Jon Endelmann, driving over four hours to represent our members in Campbellsville today. As the formal A representative, he not only brings the facts but he is getting phenomenal language on mutual respect from that post office.

This is a great picture of him, because he is smugly smiling. The second picture is from Druthers, the last one in the world, if you know you know.

Thanks to Jon and to our fantastic members in Campbellsville who always stick together.

A little way back on a Wednesday. From our Branch 14 NALC basketball league. Left to Right, you have the Legend, retiree Larry “Hawk” Terry, Jason Robison, Alesha Austin from Jeffersontown, Sean Terry (a new retiree) and retiree Thomas “Spence” Spencer.

A great crew there indeed.
