2026 JFCS Community Collaborator Award will be presented to Neighborhood House during this years Annual Meeting.

The JFCS Community Collaborator Award honors an organization that has partnered with JFCS to serve the community in thoughtful, collaborative, and impactful ways. This year’s award will be presented to Neighborhood House, a longstanding Louisville organization serving individuals and families across generations in the West End. Over the past year, our partnership with Neighborhood House has continued to grow through collaborations supporting older adults, youth career development, and access to mental health and community resources. We are grateful for their partnership and shared commitment to strengthening Louisville through holistic, community-centered care.

Shabbat Shalom!

As we close out the week, we’re grateful for a full and meaningful week. A special thank you to our volunteers from Stantec for their time and dedication to sorting and reorganizing items for the Sonny & Janet Meyer Food Pantry. Your support makes a tangible difference for the individuals and families we serve.

This week also brought us together internally at our JFCS staff meeting, a reminder of the collaboration and compassion that drives our work every day. Members of the Advancement Team enjoyed a tour of the grounds at Standard Club where we will host the annual Republic Bank Players Challenge - Golf & Mahjong for a Mission in August benefiting the Trager Family JCC and Jewish Family & Career Services. Sponsorship opportunities are available and registration is open! https://tinyurl.com/59cerzbd

And today, we enjoyed learning from Dave Halpern during his Aging In Place Workshop, where we continue empowering older adults and caregivers with resources and guidance to live safely and confidently at home. If you'd like information on services we offer to support an older adult in your family, please contact us at [email protected] or by calling our office 502-452-6341.

Wishing you a peaceful and restful Shabbat!
