Open Door Outreach gave Louisville students free backpacks, school supplies, haircuts and manicures during its annual back-to-school giveaway.

Sunday, July 26, 2026 | 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

🚨🚨🚨 IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR TODAY’S EVENT 🚨🚨🚨

1. Please DO NOT arrive before 12:00PM. Doing so will not provide an advantage for registration. Registration begins promptly at 12:30PM.

2. This event is for CHILDREN who are enrolled in school! ID may be requested, please have a valid PHOTO ID with you.

3. We have 150 Backpacks available. The first 150 registered children will receive a voucher. Vouchers will not be replaced. It is your responsibility to secure your voucher.

4. Each child MUST be present in order to get a backpack at the redemption table.

5. Meals will be available, with a priority for children to be served first.

6. We will offer select hair cuts (simple trims). The availability for these is extremely limited. Please let our team know your interest at registration. We will accommodate as many as possible, but services are not promised or guaranteed. All professionals reserve the right to deny or change services at any times. Basic hygiene is required. Hair must be clean, washed and combed prior to arrival.

As the warmer months are ahead. Many of our community visitors often ride bikes. We are in a need of a bike rack that can secure their bike while they get necessary supplies.
