Dear KAVA Members, I was recently given a financial scholarship to attend the Points of Light Conference that is to be held in Washington DC from June 22 - 25, 2026. The aid given to me was $750.00 which was able to cover the entire conference fee. Due to my daughter's cancer journey, I cannot be away from her for that duration of time so I am happy to give this to KAVA member so he/she can attend the conference. While it does not cover hotel or travel costs, it will help pay for attending this awesome conference and frankly its one of my favorite ones to be part of. Please reach out to me at (502) 640-7716 or [email protected] if you are interested in this opportunity. Take care! Chris Clements

Thanks to all the KAVA members that came out to today's meeting today at Norton Brownsboro Hospital. Much appreciation goes to to Jenna Dixon, Volunteer Manager, in welcoming all of us and sharing about the wonderful things that they do there and her dedicated volunteer base. This month's meeting was "Stump the Board" which lead to an open discussion of volunteer coordination, management and so much more. It was very insightful to all! Next meeting will be February 12th and at the Smoketown Community Center in partnership with Blueprint 502

Wonderful end of year holiday gathering by KAVA members. Thank you Humane Society for being an awesome host. All of us enjoyed the adorable and precious dogs and cats. It was very tempting to not adopt every one of them. 🐈😺 🐶 🐕
