Old Louisville Neighborhood All proceeds from the Historic Old Louisville guided walking tours support the work of the Old Louisville Neighborhood Council. We work for the community!

The official page for the Old Louisville Neighborhood Council, dedicated to advocating, promoting & protecting Old Louisville’s historic architecture & streetscapes, while building community through events. The Council is a federation of the 12 neighborhood associations of Old Louisville, residents and businesses. Vision Statement

To advocate, promote, and protect Old Louisville’s historic architecture and streetscapes within a diverse neighborhood of residents and businesses while advancing artistic and cultural events to build community. Goals

To be the official voice of Old Louisville, serving as a strong advocate for a safe, clean, healthy community where all can flourish. To preserve and protect one of the nation’s oldest historic preservation districts of Victorian mansions, as well as its distinctive 19th and early 20th century homes and landscapes. To encourage heritage tourism for enrichment and educational purposes. To promote artistic and educational events within this culturally diverse neighborhood, thereby building community and fostering cooperation. To promote neighborhood revitalization and business development.

There have been increasing examples of green and white rental e-scooters and e-bikes left blocking Old Louisville sidewalks. OLNC has alerted Metro about this and they informed us they are responding. They asked Old Louisville neighbors to report any future examples of this via 311 or the 311 app. In the app, upload a photo of the obstructing scooters/bikes and mark this as a “sidewalk or curb issue” then pick “obstruction.”
