The Administration for Children and Families (ACF) has announced the new Title IV-E Prevention Accelerator Grant Program, providing $7.5 million in funding to support implementation of evidence-based prevention services in support of the “A Home for Every Child” initiative. Ten grants ranging from $300,000 to $750,000 will help state and tribal child welfare agencies strengthen families and prevent unnecessary entries into foster care.

Designed for emerging leaders in youth and family service organizations, this six-week interactive program helps participants strengthen leadership skills, build confidence, and connect with peers from across the field. Perfect for new or aspiring supervisors, managers, directors, and shift leaders. Registration is limited and expected to fill quickly.

We’re proud to share Tammy L. Hopper is once again representing National Safe Place Network at a conference this week, this time at Supervised Visitation Network's annual conference in New Orleans.

Tammy will be presenting on The Critical Nature of Child and Youth Work, highlighting the shared commitment professionals bring across youth-serving settings and the growing role of Child and Youth Care (C*C) Certification, recognized by the Council on Accreditation. Her session explores how certification strengthens ethical practice, reduces organizational risk, and supports stronger staff satisfaction and long-term employee retention.

Thank you to Supervised Visitation Network for the opportunity to share this important work with your attendees and to help elevate the impact of child and youth care professionals nationwide.

🔹 Facing Your FEARS: Balancing Feelings, Expectations, Attitudes, and Reality in Work with Youth and Families
This session focuses on navigating the emotional and practical realities of supporting youth and families with confidence and care.

🔹 What Should I Do? Building the Capacity of New Leaders to Make Ethical Decisions
Based on the published article co‑authored by Ms. Hopper in the Journal of Child and Youth Care Work (https://acycpjournal.pitt.edu/ojs/jcycw/article/view/470/455), this workshop transforms research into action. Attendees will gain structured tools for analyzing ethical challenges and making values‑aligned decisions informed by current research.
