Back in March we announced that GPNA, thanks to the Archdiocese of Louisville, was planting seeds that we hoped would grow into a farmers' market.

We are pleased to announce that the Germantown Farmers' Market will open Saturday June 6, 9 AM-1PM, in the parking lot of the Saint Therese gymnasium at 1101 East Kentucky.

While a sprouting seed doesn't a harvest make, so too an opening day doesn't equal a successful farmers' market.

The Germantown Farmers' Market will be starting with five or six vendors. We're encouraged with the ones we have and look forward to others joining as the season progresses. We think the outdoor space can accommodate up to ten or more vendors.

We hope neighbors from Germantown, Schnitzelburg, Smoketown, Shelby Park will find the market a welcome amenity and a pleasant, healthy addition to their weekend routine. We want and encourage our neighbors to patronize our new market.

Attention Upper Highlands Neighbors!
If you plan on having a yard sale, please send your address and days and times of your sale to [email protected] to be included on our google map. The UHNA volunteers will place community yard sale signs around the perimeter of the neighborhood but it’s always best for you to put up signs directing people to your sale as well. Just be sure to take them down afterwards. Have fun!
