Brothers and sisters, a 21 member unit in rural Kentucky needs our support.

The linemen and field employees of Fleming-Mason Energy Cooperative in Flemingsburg joined the IBEW last year and are now fighting for their first contract. In four months of bargaining, the cooperative made itself available a total of three days. When workers asked their own elected board for a meeting, all seven directors signed a letter saying they would not meet with employees about their employment.

These are the people keeping the lights on in Fleming County. They deserve better than that.

The cooperative's member-owners have started a page holding it accountable. Follow it, like the posts, share them, and leave a comment showing these workers they don't stand alone.

IBEW Local 369 and the Kentucky State Building & Construction Trades Council welcomed Kentucky Community & Technical College System President Dr. Ryan Quarles and Chief External Impact Officer Tanelle Sawyer for a conversation about growing the trades pipeline across Kentucky. This is how it gets done!

Bring the whole family out to Huber's Plantation Hall for an afternoon of food, fun, and fellowship. We'll kick things off at noon with a welcome and prayer as the buffet opens, followed by remarks and recognition at 2:00 and prizes at 2:30.
