You do NOT need a ticket to get into the festival.
You DO need a ticket to hear Roxane Gay’s discussion which will be groundbreaking for the Louisville community.
You can get in to see Roxane speak by joining our standby line. (Free tickets on Eventbrite have sold out, but there will still be lots of room to enter through the standby line.)
If you would like to meet Roxane and get an autographed book, please visit the link in the comments below and purchase her book Hunger from local indie store Foxing Books. The book will be available for you to pick up at the festival and Roxane will autograph it for you.

Banned Books Week started in 1982 after a surge in the number of challenges to books featured in libraries, bookstores, and schools.
Now this week is observed every year in the last week of September or first week of October and focuses on the value of free and open access for all to stories and books. Banned Books Week brings together the entire book community in shared support of the freedom to seek information and to express ideas in a free society. 📚💛
