Polls are now open in Kentucky, be sure to get out and vote for labor endorsed candidates in today's primary elections!

KENTUCKY PRIMARY ELECTION ENDORSEMENTS

In-person voting for Kentucky's primary elections will be held tomorrow (Tuesday, May 19) from 6am to 6pm. As always, we highly encourage all members to vote for pro-worker and pro-union candidates.

Please see the graphics attached for Local 89's endorsed candidates as well as a generic sample ballot that also shows our endorsed candidates and how to vote for them by filling in the oval by their names.

LOUISVILLE KINGS TEAMSTERS DAY UPDATE:

Due to expected rainfall tomorrow, we have had to make the unfortunate decision to cancel the pre-game BBQ tailgate and shuttle services we had originally planned. We are very disappointed in this development as both our staff and our members were looking forward to it, but sadly the weather is not cooperating.

Those of you who purchased tickets, please proceed directly to the Louisville Kings game, beginning at noon tomorrow, and park in one of the lots on either side of Lynn Family Stadium.

TEAMSTERS DAY AT THE LOUISVILLE KINGS FOOTBALL GAME

LAST CHANCE FOR TICKETS!

After our initial supply sold out, Local 89 was able to arrange for an additional batch of tickets to the Louisville Kings Teamsters Day. Tickets are just $15 dollars each and supplies are extremely limited. You can purchase them now our Union Hall.

Please be advised, this is a CLEAR BAG event. Any backpacks, purses, etc must be made of clear material for security inspections.

The game will be on May 16th at Noon, but Local 89 will be holding a pre-game BBQ buffet at 10:30 AM at River Road BBQ. You can park there, eat, and then Local 89 will shuttle you to the stadium in time for the game!

2026 FAMILY SUMMER FESTIVAL

The Teamsters Local 89's Women's Committee will be hosting a Family Summer Festival at our Union Hall on Saturday, July 18 from 1pm - 4pm.

There will be games, prizes, a dunk tank, and trucks from various shops for kids to see. Food and raffle tickets will be sold for cash only, with all proceeds going towards funding the Women's Committee.

We look forward to seeing you and your family for a day of fun with fellow Local 89 sisters and brothers!
