"I was usually the only believer in the office. I felt very isolated, sometimes ostracized for my beliefs."
Courtney was a social worker who couldn't do the ONE thing she felt called to do — share the gospel with the people she was trying to help. It was frowned upon. She was alone in her faith at work.
So she quit.
She walked away from a full-time career to serve her husband, her kids, and their ministry full-time. No safety net. No guaranteed paycheck. Just a conviction that she could make a BIGGER difference outside the system than inside it.

"I felt like Satan himself was following me around with a pair of scissors, saying, 'I'm gonna cut the cord, and you're gonna be mine.'"

At 20 years old, Courtney was a single mom having night terrors so bad she slept with a Bible on her chest just to feel safe. She called church after church begging for help — they all wanted to schedule her weeks out.

She told them: "I do not have that time. It has got to be TODAY."

One pastor said yes. That day changed everything.

Today, Courtney and her husband Shane run Exodus Family Ministries — bringing the love of Jesus to people nobody else will talk to.
