Happy Women’s Equality Day! This day is marked on August 26 to honor the day the 19th amendment gave women the right to vote. ✊

As a labor movement, we know how important it is for everyone to have a seat at the table, a voice on the job, and a fair shot at a better future.

When working people stand together, we make sure everyone has a voice, and everyone gets a chance to flourish.

The fight for our members doesn’t stop at the bargaining table-it continues in the halls of Congress.

USW Local 1693 is proud to stand alongside our brothers and sisters as we advocate for legislation that protects the rights of working families. Every conversation with our elected officials is an opportunity to defend collective bargaining, safeguard retirement security, protect affordable healthcare, and ensure every worker has a safe workplace.

The rights union members enjoy today were won because generations before us stood up and spoke out. It is our responsibility to continue that fight so the next generation inherits an even stronger labor movement.

When union members engage in the political process, we aren’t asking for special treatment-we’re demanding that the voices of working people be heard.

Solidarity in the workplace. Strength in Congress. Together, we fight for every worker!
