SMC Outreach Project!

At SMC, we believe that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference. We’re excited to share that we’ve partnered with Terri Stoltz & Associates on a new outreach project to support individuals experiencing homelessness in Louisville!

This week, we completed our first round of hygiene kits and dog food packages to help provide essential supplies to individuals in need, including those caring for their beloved four-legged companions.

We believe everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, and love. Through this project, we hope to be a light in our community by serving others, meeting practical needs, and reminding our neighbors that they are not forgotten. Sometimes, a simple act of kindness can bring hope when it is needed most.

But we need YOUR help to keep this mission going!

We are currently accepting donations of:

Travel-sized deodorant
Travel-sized lotion
Alcohol-free hand sanitizer
Socks
Toothbrushes
Travel-sized toothpaste

Every donation, no matter how big or small, helps us continue sharing kindness and providing essential supplies to our neighbors in need.

⚾️ SMC had a ball at the Louisville Slugger Museum! ⚾️

We had such a great time getting out into the community and checking out the Louisville Slugger Museum! From the giant bats to all the history, there was plenty to see and talk about. We’re sharing a few pictures from our trip — take a look and see if you can spot some familiar faces!

Our FIRST EVER SMC Talent Show kicks off at 12:30 PM, and our friends and family are more than welcome to join us! Come out, grab a seat, and cheer on our participants as they show off their talents. We’re excited to see what everyone has in store!

💚 SMC Community Outreach Update! 💚

We have some exciting things happening at SMC!

Our SMC food and toiletry pantry has officially been restocked, and we want to give a HUGE thank-you to all of our generous donors who continue to help us keep this resource available for those in our community who need it. We are truly grateful for your kindness and generosity!

We are also incredibly excited to announce that SMC has the opportunity to partner with a local ministry serving the unhoused population in downtown Louisville!

As part of this partnership, our participants will be volunteering their time to help pack personal-care packages and dog food donations for individuals experiencing homelessness and their pets. We are so excited to give our participants another meaningful opportunity to serve others, give back, and be a blessing to our community. ❤️

Because of this new partnership, SMC will be accepting donations to help make these care packages possible!

New socks
Quart-sized Ziploc-style bags

Important: All donated hygiene and toiletry products must be alcohol-free.

Every donation, big or small, can help make someone's day a little easier. We are thankful for everyone who helps us teach our participants that serving others is about more than just what we receive — it's also about what we can give.

Today, we stocked our pantry with back-to-school items and personal care products. Due to the heat, we are postponing the stocking of food items for now and focused on gathering other essential care items instead. Thank you for your generous donations!

We're excited to be back at the Dare to Care Food Bank Cooking Matters program!

This marks our third time partnering with this incredible program, and we're thrilled to be kicking off the first class in another exciting series. Our participants always look forward to these hands-on sessions—and honestly, so do we!

During this first class, everyone had the chance to sharpen their kitchen skills, learn about healthy meal preparation, and build confidence in the kitchen. There was plenty of teamwork, lots of laughter, and, as always, some delicious food at the end. (The toughest part of class? Waiting for everything to finish cooking!)

A huge thank you to the amazing Cooking Matters team for continuing to welcome us back and invest in our participants. We truly appreciate the opportunity to learn, grow, and create lasting memories together.

Here's to another great series of classes—we can't wait to see what we'll be cooking up over the next several weeks! ❤️🍽️

🚨💀 BROOOOOO 💀🚨

SMC really said, "Let's go pet some animals," and Tribe Animal Sanctuary absolutely cooked. 🔥

Our participants pulled up, and the goats immediately started farming aura. The cows were low-key majestic. The pigs were giving main character energy. The whole sanctuary was an S-tier experience.

No cap, the vibes were immaculate. Everyone was smiling, laughing, learning, and making memories. It was honestly impossible not to have a good time.

Big W to the amazing staff at Tribe Animal Sanctuary for letting us roll up on their turf and for all the incredible work they do caring for these animals. ❤️

What an incredible day it was at SMC’s Annual Golf Scramble! ⛳

We are beyond grateful to everyone who helped make this year’s event such a tremendous success. Thank you to our dedicated staff and volunteers whose hard work behind the scenes made everything run smoothly, and to every golfer who came out to support our mission and enjoy a great day on the course.

A special thank you goes to all of our generous donors and sponsors. Your support and kindness directly impact the individuals and families we serve, and we couldn’t do it without you.

We would also like to extend our gratitude to Woodhaven Country Club for hosting this year’s scramble and providing such a beautiful venue and outstanding hospitality.

Because of this amazing community, we are able to continue creating opportunities and making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. Thank you for being part of another unforgettable year!

Our garden is officially up and running for the season at SMC! 🌱

Our participants were so excited to get their hands dirty and start the growing process. From planting to watering, everyone has been eager to help bring the garden back to life. We can’t wait to watch everything grow and eventually use the fresh, delicious food in our meals!

A huge thank you goes out to our friend Rob Lindeman for all of his hard work, effort, and support in refurbishing the garden and getting it ready for this season. We truly appreciate everything you’ve done to help make this possible!

We had an absolute blast at SMC’s Field Day today!

From rocking our matching tie-dye shirts to firing up the grill, the day was full of laughs, friendly competition, and great memories. We played games, cheered each other on, and wrapped it all up with a fun award ceremony to celebrate everyone’s efforts!

The chilly weather may have kept us indoors, but it didn’t slow us down one bit—if anything, it made the day even more special. What an awesome way to kick off the month of May!

We’re so thankful for our amazing participants and staff who made today unforgettable!
