CJ shares about the work in Appalachia this summer, "While the tasks of porch repairs, wheelchair ramps, underpinning to help with heating bill, clearing property of trees and debris, repairing floors for those with disabilities are important, it is the conversations that are taking place that inspire me and remind me that all those projects matter.
In addition to home repairs, day camps are bringing kids and families to the Maytown Center from surrounding neighborhoods and hollers. These kids are playing messy games, building cars for race week, conducting crazy experiments for science week, and launching 1000s of water balloons for water days. Each day they are challenged to try new things, laugh belly laughs, and hear repeatedly in seemingly small ways that they matter to a man named Jesus."

"God is using broken buildings to repair broken hearts."
CJ Noe, Field Director of Appalachia, recently shared this snippet of what God is doing across all of our fields. While you may see the construction project, what is not often captured are the conversations, prayers, and fellowship happening at the same time. The projects are important, but they also open the door for our staff and volunteers to share God's love in a tangible way, living out that calling in word and deed.

For the last week of the summer, our staff and summer interns from multiple fields worked together in Appalachia to not only finish out the summer well, but to begin planning for next year as a team. With the help of one of our board members, we were also able to host a debrief for our interns and send them out to continue living as missionaries wherever they go.
Serving alongside each other throughout all of our fields is important to all of CrossRoads. We are here not only to serve our own fields, our own volunteers, but also our fellow missionaries. Stepping in when needed, planning for the future as a larger team, and using our cumulative expertise to problem solve between the fields.

Give for Good Louisville returns on September 10, 2026, and we are asking you to stand with CrossRoads Missions once again. This single day has become our largest fundraising opportunity of the year and a critical source of support for the ministry God has entrusted to us. Your generosity helps provide homes framed and donated through Help Build Hope, disaster recovery through Operation Recovery, and ongoing ministry across Appalachia, Mexico, Louisville, and New Orleans.

Please mark your calendar for September 10, 2026, and prayerfully consider making a gift. If you are able, we invite you to stretch your generosity a little further this year. Every additional dollar helps us bring the hope of Christ to more people, in more communities, through practical acts of service and lasting partnerships.

Because of you, families in Appalachia have safe, warm homes. Because of you, communities across Mexico, Louisville, and New Orleans have experienced the love of Christ through hands-on ministry. Because of you, families in East Tennessee are rebuilding their lives after Hurricane Helene through Operation Recovery. Since 1993, CrossRoads Missions has mobilized more than 250,000 volunteers and partnered with over 1,000 churches and organizations across the U.S. and Mexico, and none of this would have happened without faithful partners like you.

Our internship program continues to be one of the most important parts of who we are. Since CrossRoads Missions began on a college campus, we have been committed to recruiting, mentoring, and developing the next generation of Christian leaders. Each summer, these young men and women bring fresh energy, new perspectives, and invaluable support to our ministry fields while gaining hands-on experience in missions and leadership. Pictured here are our summer interns from Mexico, Appalachia, and New Orleans as they gathered recently for our end-of-summer debrief—a time to celebrate what God has done, reflect on lessons learned, and prepare for wherever He leads them next.
