A new grant process is coming in 2027 to support presbyteries and NWCs in getting started. These will replace the previous Seed, Investment, and Growth Grants. Proud to say The Tent of Make Believe won the Golden Goose award at the Wild Goose Festival this year! Below is Katie Kinnison accepting it on behalf of the tent with Spicy Church leader Jaymi Hendrix by her side. Got a bit soggy at the end and poor St. Fred lost his head in the storm. 📣 Grant Deadline Extended!

Planning to apply for a Seed, Investment, or Growth Grant? The final grant deadline of 2026 has been extended to September 8.

Why does this matter?

Beginning in 2027, we will launch a new grant system with updated applications and criteria. After this cycle, Seed, Investment, and Growth Grants will be retired and replaced by a new series of funding opportunities.

Most importantly, if you're wondering what this means for your NWC's future funding, don't worry. Funding opportunities will continue, with expanded support for new communities and those already engaged in the grant process.

We're intentionally waiting until after the September 8 deadline to share details about the new grants so there is no confusion with the current application process.

In the coming months, we'll announce the new grants, release applications, and host Ask Me Anything webinars to answer your questions and help you prepare for 2027.

✅ For now, if you're considering a Seed, Investment, or Growth Grant, make sure to submit your application by September 8.

This Retreat is Meaningless: A Journey with Ecclesiastes

The untimely death of a loved one, the sudden loss of a job, the anxiety of modern life, all of it can send us into question the meaning of it all. Today at the 227th General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), commissioners, delegates, and others gathered for the 1001 lunch, where we celebrated the starting of 888 new worshiping communities, and heard the stories of 5 of them. Thanks to all who attended!
