We had a wonderful workshop this evening with Kathleen Driskell, Kentucky Poet Laureate 2025-26. She is a professor of Creative Writing at Spalding University and a talented teacher, and we learnt a lot about various elements of writing and how to improve our skills. We had a lively discussion, as many of us are actively working on our pieces and have a lot of questions. Thank you, Liz Roach-Smith and Megan Thompson, for organizing this event! It was a success!

Dear Writers,
Attention!

Our January meeting will take place on Tuesday, January 13th at 6:00pm - 7:30pm instead of our usual 6:30pm - 8:30pm at the St. Matthews Public Library. Due to changes in operating hours throughout the Louisville Free Public Library system, the libraries now close at 8:00pm and meeting spaces must be cleared by 7:30pm. Therefore, we have adjusted our meeting time accordingly. We hope to see you on Tuesday!

What a wonderful Holiday party we had at Bristol last night! We had so much to talk about that the evening flew by. The book exchange was both exciting and educational. Most of the authors were women, and some were even local, which means a lot to us. You could really feel the support and camaraderie in the room. That’s what makes our group special. It’s not just about becoming a better writer—it’s also about finding friendship, support, and encouragement. Thank you, Women Who Write, for another great year!
