We recognize that many in our community have understandable fears and concerns when it comes to law enforcement. That’s exactly why we felt it was crucial to be part of the solution as part of our mission is to create safe spaces for young people.
Project B.L.U.E. (Building Leadership, Unity, and Engagement) is a youth leadership and community engagement initiative designed to strengthen relationships between young people and law enforcement through positive experiences, mentorship, and skill-building activities. In partnership with the Louisville Metro Police Department PAL Program and JCPS Police, Project B.L.U.E. provides youth ages 11–18 opportunities to develop leadership, communication, teamwork, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills while building trust, mutual respect, and community connections.
By working hand-in-hand with LMPD PAL and JCPS Police through Project B.L.U.E., we aim to create safe, interactive, positive experiences where youth and officers build trust, leadership, and understanding together. We want families to see that this isn’t just about police but it’s about fostering community, healing, and ensuring our kids have mentors all over the community who genuinely support them!
We invite our C.H.O.I.C.E. families and other young people to join us in building these bridges and helping our youth lead with confidence.
