Today was a win.
All 11 misdemeanor charges have been upgraded to felony charges.
Accused defendant, Thomas Bagwell, sealed 11 puppies in a box and left it on the side of a rural road in Trimble County.
This is specifically called out on the new statute.
“1. Locked in a cage or kennel;
2. Sealed in a plastic bag or box;
3. Chained or tied down to restrict motion;
4. Pitched in a dumpster;”
Thankfully, the puppies are oke, but it doesn’t change the intent.
Lawmakers in Frankfort passed a law and decided that animals abused and tortured in Kentucky will now have a voice. Let’s make sure everyone hears their voice.
