A formerly unhoused man's last dying wish was that someone would adopt his Garfield-like cat named "Baby." Carey Addison of Family Health Centers, Inc. shares the story behind taking her in.

As a part of our 50th podcast episode, Family Health Centers celebrates 50 years as a primary care provider for the unhoused population in our community. "Helping others brings happiness."

We appreciate Drepung Gomang Center for Engaging Compassion for volunteering at the Open Hand Kitchen. It takes volunteer groups like Drepung to be able to serve nearly 250 meals every day to residents on our campus and those in the community.

We believe that what we do works. We strive for successful housing outcomes because we want the families we serve to experience safety and stability. This past fiscal year, nearly 90% of households exiting our Permanent Supportive Housing Programs did not return to homelessness. This is the same as the national high school graduation rate in the U.S.👩‍🎓
