Last Friday, we had the honor of celebrating Maria smith our CEO 30 years at Harbor House!

For three decades, Maria has dedicated her time, compassion, and hard work to making a difference in the lives of our participants and our community. Her commitment and positive impact have touched countless lives throughout the years. Thank you, Maria, for your 30 years of service, dedication, and heart. We are so grateful to have you as part of the Harbor House family and proud to celebrate this incredible milestone!

Learn More About Harbor House

This week we learn about our Child Enrichment Center:

The Child Enrichment Center at Harbor House in Louisville is an innovative childcare program designed for children from six weeks to school age, with and without disabilities. It focuses on creating a nurturing and engaging environment where all children can learn, play, and grow together through creative and developmentally appropriate experiences. A key feature of the center is its intergenerational approach, which encourages meaningful interaction between children, seniors, and adults with disabilities—fostering connections, empathy, and a strong sense of community. Rooted in a mission of love, hope, and empowerment, the center provides a supportive setting that promotes both learning and social development while meeting the needs of diverse families.

Learn More About Harbor House

This week we learn about our Adult Day Training Program:
The Adult Day Training (ADT) Program provides person-centered, goal-oriented services designed to help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities reach their fullest potential. Our dedicated staff encourages participants to build independence, develop new skills, and engage meaningfully in their communities.

The ADT Program offers a variety of life skills and enrichment activities, including daily living skills, communication, budgeting, money management, writing, computer skills, arts and crafts, cooking, gardening, friendship building, social skills development, self-advocacy, health and safety education, community resource utilization, community outings, and volunteer opportunities.

Services are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., providing a supportive and engaging environment where participants can learn, grow, and thrive.
