At this meeting, the NAACP BUILD Grant Team will discuss the importance of this grant, which was designed to help patients and health professionals talk together about environmental exposures and their impacts on health. Draft Tools will be shared for patients and health professionals to address these concerns. In this interactive session, you will be able to discuss the tools, role-play using the patient and clinician guides, and explore an online tool that will tell you what you may have been exposed to based on your Louisville street address. You are invited to the West Jefferson County Community Task Force (WJCCTF) community meeting tomorrow, August 18, at 5:30 p.m.

At this meeting, Ted Smith, PhD, Professor of Environmental Medicine at the University of Louisville, will lead the conversation on the Green Heart Project, a clinical trial by the University of Louisville Christina Lee Brown Envirome Institute, to learn how trees can reduce air pollution and lower specific health risks.

Audrey Ernstberger, Staff Attorney and Lobbyist with the Kentucky Research Council, will provide updates on Perry Elementary. Information on the upcoming Annual Environmental Justice Conference will be provided by Arnita Gadson, Executive Director of WJCCTF.
