We've had some great programs at the Louisville Rotary Club over the last couple of months.
We want to thank them for taking time out of their busy schedules to speak to our group and inform us of happenings in our community and abroad. Programs include stories about national media, local school needs, and personal recovery stories! We appreciate them all!!

At the end of January, the Louisville Rotary Club said farewell to one of its pillars. Beth Sulsberger resigned from the Louisville Rotary Club as she steps into retirement. Beth has been such a valued member of the club, always keeping everything in order and on task! Thank you for 10 wonderful years, Beth Sulsberger!! On behalf of the Louisville Rotary Club, Beth Sulsberger presents a check to Amanda Bailey of the North Clay High School Track Program. The check for $1,040 represents half of the net profits from the Rotary Glow Run held at the 2025 Fall Harvest Festival. Last Friday, Dr. Brittani Hosselton brought Alyssa Goodman , LCPC, for our program. Alyssa gave us great tips on how to help someone who may be having an anxiety attack or suicidal.
Here are a few tips from Alyssa:
-Don’t leave them alone.
-Be calm and present.
-Reassure them they are safe and everything is ok right now.
-Belly breathing.
-Go somewhere quiet away from others.

On 9/5/25 Cindy Bailey brought Ben VanHyning for our program. He is the
Emergency Preparedness Coordinator
at the Health dept. He spoke to us today about a life saving device to be used when someone is choking. It is called Life Vac. You can get one at Lifevac.net.

He also is a member of the Medical Reserve Corps and is looking for volunteers. If you are interested in joining this organization please call Ben at 618-662-4406 x 2131.
