Modern Day Slavery: Human Trafficking, Sextortion and Po*******hy Conference in Louisville, KY spotlights Kentucky’s new law (SB73) addressing sexual extortion/sextortion which can force victims into human trafficking and/or po*******hy.

Host, United Nations Association of the USA Kentucky Division, and Chapters in Frankfort, Bluegrass/Lexington and Louisville are partnering with Rotary Club of Louisville and Rotary Club of Louisville Suburban, Rotary District 6710 and Rotary Club of Frankfort plus League of Women Voters of Louisville and American Association of University Women Louisville Branch to educate and save lives of youths; however, sextortion can happen to anyone of any age or gender.
The event will celebrate and highlight advocates and policymakers who worked to pass SB73 which made sextortion a crime. Sextortion is a form of exploitation that occurs when a person obtains sexually explicit images of an individual and threatens to release them unless their demands (monetary, sexual, or other requests) are met.
