Today we honor and remember a truly remarkable woman of God, Ms. Charlotte.
She was so much more than a volunteer to us, she was a mother figure, a grandmother, a mentor, and a faithful friend of the ministry for over 15 years. Her love for her āgirlsā of Priscillaās Place was evident in everything she did.
She faithfully showed up every Friday morning to lead Bible study, so many Friday nights spent with her dear friends from Rebeccaās Circle as they would bless us with meals that only a grandmother could provide. She would often send her sons,Jimmy and Scott, with food and generous donations of meat whenever there was a good sale at Kroger, always making sure her girls were cared for!
Ms. Charlotte wanted her girls to have fun, enjoy life, and make memories. She opened her home and her heart to us time and time again. We will cherish the countless tea parties, Derby parties, and outdoor movie nights she hosted. We loved gathering around her beautiful Christmas tree each year, helping decorate it with her treasured bird ornaments.
Her wisdom was worth more than money could ever buy. She wasnāt afraid to tell us what we needed to hear, even when it wasnāt what we wanted to hear. She spoke truth boldly, but always from a place of deep love and genuine care. She celebrated our victories, prayed us through our struggles, and loved us enough to challenge us to grow.
Her fingerprints are all over Priscillaās Place and her legacy will continue to live on through the countless lives she impacted. She helped create a home away from home for so many women who desperately needed one.
It has been an incredible honor to know and love Ms. Charlotte. While our hearts grieve her absence, we rejoice knowing she is exactly where she longed to be, in the presence of Jesus.
