A nationwide health care fraud takedown resulted in 455 defendants charged in connection with over $6.6 billion in alleged fraud. As part of the takedown, FBI Louisville led the investigation into Angela Renfro, Briana Gosnell, KLF Company LLC, and Freedom Center LLC.
All were charged with conspiracy to commit health care fraud and health care fraud in connection with billing for services that were fraudulent, unauthorized, and in many instances, not rendered, resulting in the submission of more than $11 million in fraudulent and unauthorized claims to Kentucky Medicaid, of which more than $10 million was paid.
