Hello all,
I will try to keep this as simple and direct as possible. Regrettably, I don't know who is or isn't informed of KITE's current status. I'm hopeful most of you know, and I sincerely apologize to those who are just learning of this through this letter.
The Kentucky Institute for Torah Education (KITE) is officially no longer.
This will be the last post or publication you will receive with that KITE logo on top.
HOWEVER!
Our soul and purpose have found a new home within Congregation Anshei Sfard. Just this past week, the board of directors of CAS unanimously agreed to hire me as their Executive Director and Rabbi Eli Wasser as the Associate Director. With great enthusiasm and support, Anshei Sfard has fully embraced and incorporated our mission and vision into their own. I could not be more grateful.
Indeed, Louisville Jewish outreach, engagement, education, inspiration, and connection are very much alive! As a member and past president of Anshei Sfard, I have seen up close Anshei Sfard's commitment and passion for Jewish outreach and continuity. I am super excited to formally work alongside my dear friend (and Rabbi) Rabbi Simcha Snaid in continuing to bring the light of Torah and the joy of Judaism to the thousands of Jews of Louisville, Kentucky.
Ok. Here's where I need to really try and keep it simple...
Thank You.
Because of you, the spirit of KITE will fly forever.
Thank you for believing in KITE. Thank you for supporting KITE.
Thank you for being so awesome.
All the best,
Rabbi Zack Blaustein
