Caring for someone living with dementia? You don't have to figure it out alone. 💜

Join the Alzheimer's Association, Sanders-Brown Center on Aging and the Bluegrass Area Agency on Aging and Independent Living for a Dementia Caregiver Workshop designed to give caregivers a better understanding of dementia, along with strategies to help navigate the disease.

Jazmin Martinez has always believed that education can change lives. She has spent her career designing programs for vulnerable communities; understanding the difference it can make when people feel seen, heard and are equipped with the right resources.

When she discovered the Alzheimer's Association, she knew immediately she had found a place to put that purpose to work. Now, Jazmin volunteers as a community educator, leaning into her professional expertise to deliver educational programs to families in her community.

For Jazmin, volunteering has been a transformative experience. Her most treasured moments are the visits to community centers where Hispanic families gather. "The warm welcome from the people and their heartfelt gratitude after every presentation mean the world to me."

To anyone considering volunteering, her message is simple: "There is a spot for everyone here. The environment allows you to grow and make a real difference right away."
