We couldn’t have asked for a better day to participate in the Louisville St. Patrick’s Day Parade. With clear skies and huge crowds lining the streets of the Highlands, it was a great opportunity for us to get out in the community and share what The First Car Project is all about.
Our parade ride this year was the 2026 Rally Rover, and like most things we do, it truly came together because of the generosity of our community. The Range Rover we drove in the parade was donated by a local resident who wanted to support the mission. The work to get it running and road-ready was generously donated by Platinum Auto Group. The sticker designs that helped bring the vehicle to life were created by The County Press, and the graphics were installed by Radley Wraps.
The finished Rally Rover looked fantastic rolling through the parade and it was a great example of what we mean when we say this work takes a village.
We were also grateful for the group of volunteers who joined us to walk the route, handing out stickers and candy and helping spread the word about our mission. The St. Patrick’s Day parade draws an estimated 100,000 spectators each year, and we loved the chance to introduce that many people to The First Car Project.
Being part of events like this is important to us because it keeps us connected to the community that makes our work possible. Every car we place with a young person is the result of many people pitching in—donors, businesses, volunteers, and supporters who believe that reliable transportation can open doors.
Thank you to everyone who walked with us, cheered us on, and helped make the Rally Rover possible. It was a great day, and we’re grateful to be part of such a supportive community.
