French fry is staying here at the Kentucky location for a few weeks, we’re awaiting blood work results from his Vet visit on Thursday. Hopefully it gives us some information on why he is struggling to gain weight. He’s currently on a new diet over here from Excel Equine.

Back home in Mo he had a vet visit about a month ago, the vet floated his teeth, and told HWH Missouri to “ feed him more” I disagreed with that plan, and he was brought up here to have a visit with our vet. Hopefully the little guy is on the mend, and can return home to his “little friends” soon.

Hi everyone!
We have found a grant that is assessable for Kentucky, and Mo! The deadline is for march 31st, for this grant. The next grant funding is believed to start in June. There are certain requirements for this grant, if you’re interested I can send over the information. Please share this, in hopes of people needing funding for our program. We also have self pay, and take Medicaid for United health if qualified for our program.

With the New Year is new news! As of Feb 1,2025 we are accepting United Health Care insurance (Medicaid only) for children up to 6-21 years old, who are diagnosed with Autism, Depression, PTSD, Down syndrome, and more special needs. At this time, only Jefferson, Fayette, and Warren counties are accepted. Contact us to find out more information! We are fully insured, and are currently searching for funds and grants so that we can assist children who are not considered under the insurance.

We are accepting sponsorships, donations, and if you know of any grants we can apply for. You are also able sponsor children so that they can attend our program, sponsor a horse (which helps with their care - feed, farrier for their feet, hay, veterinarian visits etc)

Our program is to help with children learn life skills, with equine therapy. Equine therapy helps by building self esteem, improving social skills, reducing stress, emotional regulation, anger management, and so much more.

Riding horses, allows them to focus, think, accept training, be independent, build muscles, and teach them to follow directions. They establish a bond with the horses, and feel worthy.

Our program funds horses who are unique, ones that conquer their disabilities and thrive, with your help we can facilitate more horses with special needs, to show and help children like them!

Give us a call for more information, or to get on the schedule!

Thank you Wyatt, and Bray for helping clean up after a hay day. The boys swept and cleaned around the barn while their parents helped unload hay. They loved on the horses as well, spoiling them. Today they learned to focus on tasks and finish what they start, and along the lines of following directions. Thank you again to the boys, and their moms for the help putting up a load of hay. Y’all are so very much appreciated ❤️

Thank you Caleb for braving the cold and coming in today. Helping learn responsibilities, and focus. He braved the very cold weather and helped clean stalls, feed horses, and take them in and out and brushed them. The horses sure appreciate your love and support and can’t wait to see you soon.

Our newest member is out enjoying the little bit of grass we have left this winter. He got his hair brushed and his eyes cleaned and medicine put on them. He is blind in his right eye due to an injury sustained before rescue, and requires additional cleanings and medication to the skin around his eyes so that it doesn’t become dry/cracked and bleed.
