Calling All Volunteers

On Sunday, 1/19/2020, we will be at Kroger on Hubbard's Lane. We plan on being there from 11am to 4pm. We will be in the lobby, handing out our wishlist.

This is a wonderful fundraising opportunity for us. We typically collect $700+ in cash donations, plus merchandise.

We also plan on having some of our adoptable dogs there, so you can get your "dog fix" while volunteering. :-)

We are asking for commitments for 2 hour shifts.

We're looking for help with our Pet Pictures with Santa events.

This is always a fun event. The pets are priceless.

Event dates/times:

Saturday, 12/7/19 from 10am to 1pm at the Douglass Loop Farmers Market

Sunday, 12/15/19 from 12pm to 3pm at Tractor Supply on Preston Hwy

Is anyone available to help with a fundraiser at Kroger (Hubbard's Lane) on Saturday? We will be there from 10 am to 2 pm.
We will hand out a wishlist and ask for donations. This is a fun event, and we did very well last time.

Volunteers needed this Saturday!

Saturday will be our first day at this year's the New Albany's Farmers Market.

We will be having Southwestern Breakfast Bowls, and we need YOUR help. We are looking for 2 volunteers to help with the set-up of the booth (at 7 am) and, if you would like, stick around to help with the sale.

Who wants to help?

Special events are a wonderful way for us to get our name out and generate income. It's early in the year, and we've already come up with a tentative schedule for "special events" for 2019!

* Spring - Schnitzel meal - volunteers needed to help setting the location up (tables, chairs, etc).

* 6/16/19 - Tabling at Kroger (Hubbards Lane location) - volunteers needed to help handing out fliers to Kroger customers and collect donations.

* 7/14/19 - at Creasey Mahan Nature Preserve:
Christmas in July pictures and dog self-wash - volunteers needed to help with taking the pictures, gathering customer contact info, and handling donations for the dog wash and the pictures.

* 10/6/19 - Haunted Hike at Creasey Mahan Nature Preserve:
Making Paw Prints (using pet safe paint), coasters and slime - volunteers needed to help the customers with these projects, and handling donations.

* 12/19 - Santa Pictures:
We would like to have another pictures with Santa event. We would prefer an indoor location this year. If you know of a location or store that would be suitable, please let us know.

* 12/19 - Christmas Gift Wrapping:
We are tentatively looking at the following dates:
Sat, 12/21/19, Sun, 12/22/19, Mon, 12/23/19 - volunteers needed to help with the wrapping of gifts. Also, this year, we are looking for "team captains", who will be responsible for contacting volunteers, and taking care of donations.

* Farmers Market in New Albany:
We have committed to having a booth (providing food and/or beverages) on the second Saturday of each month (from April to October). Volunteers needed to help with the booth set-up, handling donations, and getting customers their orders.

We will be back at the New Albany Farmers Market on 10/28/2018. This will be their International Foods Market, and we will have Kaesespaetzle (Cheese Spaetzle), a very popular German dish.

The market will be from 8 am to 12 pm, and we're looking for help with this. Please respond in the comments if you can help, and what time(s) you will be available (no cooking skills required).
