Another awesome opportunity to send kiddos to Kentucky Kingdom! This time we were able to send kids from Boys & Girls Haven! They had an absolutely amazing time and for some this was their first time!!

Fun night at Graeters celebrating an 18th birthday for a pretty amazing kid!! I’ve known him for years now and am so impressed with the steps he keeps putting in to get through school and plan for his future!!

We were so excited for the opportunity to sponsor the girls at Maryhurst’s Treasure House for a fun filled day at Kentucky Kingdom!! They rode rides, splashed around Hurricane Bay, had some delicious food and enjoyed a beautiful summer day!!

We can’t say thank you enough to everybody who donates and helps us treat kids in residential facilities to amazing outings!

A fun afternoon with the kids at Spring Meadows! 🏓

We started the afternoon with some pickleball, and they've definitely been practicing! They were some tough competition! Afterward, we all went to Chick-fil-A for dinner!

I wish I could introduce each of these kids to the world because every single one of them is incredible in their own way. If more people had the chance to really get to know them, their personalities, their strengths, and their hearts, I truly believe we could find a forever family for every child. ❤️

David is an energetic, outgoing young man who loves sports, outdoor activities, fishing, and anything competitive. He enjoys country music, action movies, camping, and prefers staying active over sitting still.

He’s social, funny, and naturally charismatic—someone who easily makes friends and brings energy into every room. He also shows respect for adults, does well in school, and has real leadership potential.

David is ready for a family who will encourage his strengths, support his growth, and walk alongside him as he builds his future.

A huge thank you to Andreas (pictured with the bikes) and Marlene for stepping up to meet a need by donating these bikes! Because of their generosity, two children in foster care will now have bikes of their own. ❤️ Thank you for making such a meaningful difference!

A big thank you to Roo’s Wish for their continued support of the youth and young adults served by Bellewood & Brooklawn!

Their latest donation included summer goody bags, art supplies, and creative craft activities that will bring joy, comfort, and a sense of care to children and youth across our programs. Gifts like these may seem simple, but they help create meaningful moments of normalcy, creativity, and encouragement for young people who deserve to feel seen and supported.

We are grateful for Roo’s Wish and their ongoing commitment to making an impact in the lives of children and families.

Yesterday, while talking to a child currently in a foster home who visits us often, I asked “What did you get for your birthday??”
He responded, “My foster family didn’t get me anything. I don’t know if they got me something and are waiting for a good day to give it to me or they just didn’t get me anything.”
His birthday was over a week ago.
My heart broke. The fact that he is still hopeful that maybe one day he will get a present from them makes me so sad.

There are 29 kids pictured below. All have stories that would break our heart. Stories of wanting that forever home where they know they will always be loved, always get their birthday celebrated, and never wonder where they will end up next. If you have ever considered fostering or adopting, trust me when I tell you, a child is praying for you to say yes.

Congratulations to Grounds for Hope on celebrating a year of business!!

If you’re not familiar with them, they were started by The Prisoner's Hope to help fund their amazing work with helping inmates get their life back on the right track. They have helped so many people and made such a positive impact in our community!
