Honoring all mothers who are missing their children. Honoring all mothers who only held their babies for a small moment, or didn’t get to at all. Honoring mothers whose babies were born sleeping, never hearing their cry. We remember them today, and always.

This day we say their names. We remember our sweet babies, born too soon, gone too soon. The best way you can remember her, is by saying her name. I’ll never get tired of hearing it, saying it, and doing everything I can to honor it.

This was our original due date for our Aria Grace. Blew out two candles in honor of a “would have been birthday.”

Our daughter Aria was due 12/24/22, but instead was born sleeping on 8/9/22, at 20 weeks.

If you are struggling this Christmas season, be kind to yourself. Give yourself grace. And remember God is near to the brokenhearted.

Grief comes in waves, and it hits you at times that are least expected. The holidays is one of them for a lot of people. If we carried Aria to term, she would be turning two this year. For this reason alone, the Christmas season has been difficult.

One of our favorite ways to remember and honor her at Christmas is to put up our “Aria tree” and decorate it with all her toys and ornaments.

Just know if you are struggling, you aren’t alone. Praying for anyone struggling with loss and grief this holiday season

Wave of light 🕯️ 👼🏼 🩷🩵

October 15 is pregnancy and infant loss awareness day. At 7pm we light a candle to honor all babies who were gone too soon, who are born asleep.

I light a candle to honor all of the brave patients I have helped deliver in my 7 years as a labor and delivery nurse. To all the moms who I was with in the moment that they found out their baby no longer had a heart beat. To all the patients I have had the honor to talk to and give advice on how to walk through this terribly hard road.

1 in every 4 pregnancies end in loss. I am 1 in 4. I am the mom who was told my baby did not have a heart beat. I am the mom who delivered my baby and said hello and goodbye in the same day. I am the mom whose baby is in heaven with Jesus. I am the person whose life changed forever.

To know loss means you know love. I will honor my Aria Grace Richards today and every day.
