Flight Club 502

Flight Club 502 Flight Club 502 is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) for teens ages 13-21.

Founded in 2015, our mission is to teach young people STEM education, leadership and decision-making, entrepreneurship, and patriotism through exposure to all facets of aviation. Flight Club 502 Office Staff:

Chief Pilot Stefan Brown has taken some aspiring pilots on some pretty cool flights recently!

Marlee Oddos, a visiting student from France, and James Russell both had the opportunity to take to the skies with Stefan through Young Eagles flights.

Wes and Sophie Tolsdorf also enjoyed a Louisville City Tour and introductory flight through their support of Louisville’s First Car Project, helping provide first cars to local youth so they can get to school and work.

We love sharing the excitement of aviation and getting new faces in the sky! Blue skies!

Wes and Sophie Tolsdorf enjoyed a Louisville City Tour and introductory flight with Flight Club 502!

Their flight came through their support of Louisville’s First Car Project, an organization helping provide first cars to local youth so they can get to school, work, and wherever their future takes them.

We loved having Wes and Sophie at Flight Club 502! Blue skies! ✈️

KYANG Captain Matthew Hourigan visited Flight Club 502 - on his day off! - to serve as a guest speaker and mentor for our Shawnee High School students.

Our students loved hearing Captain Hourigan’s story, learning from his experiences, and receiving his advice and encouragement.

Flight Club 502 is incredibly grateful to Captain Hourigan and for all the support we receive from the Kentucky National Guard. Thank you for investing in our students, and thank you all for your service! 🇺🇸✈️

2018 Flight Club 502 member Evan Myers pictured with Flight Club 502 Board Chair Clyde Ensor. Evan soloed Blueberry in 2019, went on to graduate from Middle Tennessee State University, and is now about to upgrade to Captain in the CRJ!

Last Friday evening, we gathered an incredible group of women and girls in aviation for our Paint & Sip! It was a beautiful, relaxing evening filled with community, charcuterie, painting, great conversations, and plenty of laughs.

Thank you to all of the wonderful women who joined us. It was so much fun getting to meet everyone, and we can’t wait to do it again soon!
