FarmiKids Grow! – where little hands and big curiosity sprout growth, giggles and green thumbs!

Join us for informative and playful kid-friendly activities with (shh!) a dose of age-appropriate science lessons thrown in to broaden kids’ knowledge and experience with the natural world.

FarmiKids Grow! is a nature-powered learning adventure for children. It blends exploration, creativity, and hands-on gardening fun to help kids learn about plants, bugs, soil, the magic of nature and more, all while planting seeds of curiosity and confidence. Kids are invited to explore the outdoors, learn life science basics, build teamwork and responsibility, and connect with natural rhythms – sun, soil, critters!

Monthly, ninety-minute sessions will include a blend of activities, such as:

Brief and fun natural science lessons,

Playful learning activities (such as bug counts, worm races, etc.),

Story-time in their very own honeysuckle hideout,

A gardening or nature-related craft (like painting pinecone flowers, planting seeds to take home, etc.),

Growing vegetables and herbs in their very own pizza cuisine bed, and

Recording their activities in gardening journals

Later in the summer, kids will have a pizza party, making pizzas using their cuisine bed produce and be shown how wheat, grown in the teaching garden, can be used to make flour.

Think of FarmiKids Grow! as part classroom, part playground and all nature magic! And, please – dress to get dirty!

Participation in FarmiKids Grow! can be session by session or taken as a complete series.

Monthly Sessions:

5/16 Hello Garden!

6/20 Soil Detectives

7/18 Pollinator Party

8/15 Water Wizards

9/19 Grow & Show and Pizza Party

10/17 Harvest Celebration & Pumpkin Carving
