RE3 Club (Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Club) is a student run organization based in The Conn Center for Renewable Energy Research at the Speed Scientific School of the University of Louisville. The club accomplishes this through a combination of an engaging lecture series and hands-on energy workshops. These workshops will focus specifically on incorporating renewable energy concepts and
devices into everyday life. Planned workshops include (but are not limited to):
-Designing, building, and implementing solar ovens
-Fabricating dye-sensitized solar cells
-Recycling broken silicon solar cells into new solar panels
-Designing solar-powered RC vehicles (both land and air)
General meetings will be catered by nearby restaurants and will generally last roughly 1 hour. Meeting activities will include:
-Eating free food
-Hearing engaging lectures from energy-wise persons
-Learning concepts to be explored in hands-on workshops
-Touring labs conducting renewable energy research on campus
-Viewing movies and videos pertaining to energy-related issues
