After a long COVID-19 hiatus, the Crisis Team had a much awaited outing working with young survivors of the 2019 flooding as they were attending Camp Noah sponsored by the Cass County Long Term
Recovery Group. Thanks to Gemma and Vikki, Janell and Buddy, Lisa and Atticus, and Renea and Wrigley for their work. Looking forward to having Briana and Mango out next week as well.

Our Noah's crisis response dogs aren't out visiting right now, but we still care about frontline workers. Here's a resource that we recommend.

FREE ONLINE SUPPORT GROUPS FOR HEALTHCARE WORKERS AND EMERGENCY RESPONDERS

Dear Frontline Responder,

The American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress is working with the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology and CISM Perspectives in coordinating online groups for healthcare workers and emergency first responders. Currently, there are over 80 volunteers offering supportive and educational interventions.

These groups will offer a safe space to discuss the collective trauma as well as workplace experiences, personal and family crises, compassion fatigue and self-care strategies.

To view the list of groups, their days and times, and the leaders' names and email addresses, please go to the Academy's website at www.AAETS.org/frontline-groups. There are several time and day options.

To join a group, you'll need to do the following:

1. Send an email to the leader of the group with the day and time you will be participating. The leader in turn will send you a code to join the online group prior to the day and time of the group.
2. Sign a digital disclaimer, which can be accessed through a link at the www.AAETS.org/frontline-groups web page or directly at www.AAETS.org/disclaimer.

These groups are confidential in nature. You will not have to provide your name when you join the online group and have the option to use audio and visual or just audio.

The groups are here to offer you support during this very difficult time. There is much appreciation for your sacrifices and hard and tiring work.

Sincerely,

Brad Lindell, Ph.D.
