As SXPF approaches (THIS WEEKEND!) we wanted to re-introduce and give a big THANK YOU to two of our behind-the-scenes organizers. Alex is our volunteer coordinator and Amy .ceramics is an original founder of the event and basically has her hands in everything from beginning to end. It would not be possible to run as smoothly without the two of them. 🫶

Steven G Cheek does not need an introduction as he has been with SXPF from the beginning as an artist and organizer. Along with making beautiful work he also works in the community as a high school art teacher. Steven states, “I seek to make work that speaks to people on several levels; both as an object of contemplation and as an object for use. It is the tactile experience of using a handmade vessel that creates a dialogue between the artist and the user that deepens and evolves over time. It is my desire to create work that is both beautiful and thought provoking” His work is best seen in person. We look forward to seeing you at the show again, or for the first time!
