What a day! Yesterday was an unforgettable day for Smoketown.

As our community gathered to unveil the honorary Fred T. Stoner Sr. street sign, we celebrated a man whose impact reached far beyond our neighborhood. Fred T. Stoner Sr. was a respected mentor, leader, and trainer who played a pivotal role in the early development of Louisville's own Muhammad Ali, helping shape one of the most influential athletes in history!

What made this moment even more special was seeing our Board President, Shavonda Stoner, standing proudly as both a community leader and the grand-daughter of Fred "Freddie" T. Stoner.

Yesterday was a beautiful reminder that legacy is not only what we leave behindβ€”it's what we carry forward.

We are incredibly proud of Shavonda and grateful for her continued commitment to preserving Smoketown's history while helping build its future.
