The JCPS Project Prevent Team, in partnership with the Louisville Metro Office of Violence Prevention, invites families to attend the 2026 Village Strong Family Community Event on Thursday, October 22, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Baxter Community Center, located at 1125 W. Liberty St.

This family-focused event will connect residents with valuable community resources that help strengthen family relationships and build supportive networks. Families can learn about programs and services available throughout Louisville while connecting with organizations and neighbors committed to creating stronger, healthier communities.

Village Strong is built on a simple idea: It takes a village to raise a family. Come meet yours!

Families of all ages are encouraged to attend and discover resources that can help support and strengthen their personal village.

Join KNN, the Louisville Nonprofit Coalition, and your nonprofit colleagues for an important opportunity to connect directly with candidates running for Metro Council. The evening will begin with the opportunity to visit with candidates followed by a discussion focused on nonprofit priorities, city partnerships, and ways local government can better engage with and support our sector. A large crowd of nonprofit leaders is important to emphasize the vital role charitable nonprofits play in Louisville's economy and quality of life.

Metro Council makes decisions that impact nonprofits and those they serve from zoning to funding and everything in-between. Join us to have a seat at the table! Strong partnerships between nonprofits and local government help ensure our community remains a place where everyone can thrive.
